Police are in the early stages of a shooting investigation at a motel in southwest Omaha that was called in just after four Monday morning.
According to 9-1-1 communications, a person has been taken from the scene near 109th and "J" Streets to a hospital with life threatening injuries.
Officers had secured the scene to allow Omaha Fire paramedics to treat and transport the victim.
