(Papillion, NE) -- The victim of a fatal Sarpy County crash has been identified.
Papillion Police say 63 year old Bruce Hawkins, of Weeping Water, was pronounced dead at the scene of the Thursday afternoon crash at Highway 50 and Capehart Road.
Police say just before 3:00 Thursday afternoon, officers were called to a personal injury accident involving 3 vehicles. Investigators say two vehicles, a Pontiac Grand AM and a Toyota Scion, were southbound on Highway 50 near Capehart when a northbound F150 pickup crossed the center median and hit both southbound vehicles.
Investigators say the F150 ended up on top of the Grand Am, killing the driver Hawkins. The driver of the F150, 57 year old Louis Geditz of Louisville, was taken to Bergan Mercy Hospital in critical condition. The driver of the Scion, 32 year old Gilbert Anson of Carter Lake, was transported by medical helicopter to Nebraska Medicine in critical condition.
