A Cass County man is dead following a Wednesday afternoon grain bin accident.
The Cass County Sheriff's Office says the accident happened around 4:00 Wednesday afternoon in Nehawka, a village about 35 miles south of Omaha. Investigators say 72 year old Timothy Savage and his grandson were working on a door on the bin when the enclosure failed, burying Savage in corn. He was declared dead at the scene.
First responders from Cass County, Nehawka, Murray and Plattsmouth assisted with at the scene.
