Omaha Fire investigators make the arrest in connection with a Tuesday afternoon house fire near 33rd and Newport Avenue.
The fire was originally called in as involving a detached garage, but when firefighters arrived, they found it had spread to a house.
More firefighters were called in, and the fire was eventually brought under control in about 90 minutes.
There were no injuries reported.
The Fire Department says 33-year old Eddie Rogers III was found in the area and taken into custody.
