The National Weather Service in Omaha says an ice storm warning is in place until 3 p.m. Tuesday for areas north, northwest and northeast of the Omaha-Council Bluffs Metro, portions of east central and northeast Nebraska, and western Iowa.
This includes Dodge, Washington, Butler, and Saunders Counties, and Monona County, Iowa;
Tree damage and power outages are reported in many parts of the warned area including Fremont and Schuyler.
Douglas, Sarpy, Pottawattamie, Lancaster, Cass County, Nebraska and Seward Counties, along with Saline and Jefferson are in a Winter Weather Advisory until 3 pm.
Mixed precipitation; Snow accumulations of less than an inch around I-80 and up to 4 inches near the Nebraska and South Dakota border; Ice accumulations of around two tenths of an inch;
