Warrant issued for first degree murder in connection to October shooting

A warrant for 1st degree murder has been issued for an 18 year old man in connection to an October shooting death.

Omaha Police say Jaquan Haynes is wanted for the October 29th murder of 19 year old Nomi Herrera. Investigators say Herrera was shot while driving in the area of 33rd and Weber last Thursday. Herrera died the following day.

Police say anyone that sees Haynes should call 911 immediately or anonymously at Omaha Crime Stoppers 402-444-STOP, www.omahacrimestoppers.org or at www.p3tips.com. Tips leading to the arrest of a known homicide suspect are eligible for an enhanced reward of $5,000.

A 15 year old was arrested on Friday in connection to Herrera's death. Omaha Police say the 15 year old was arrested on a charge of Accessory to First Degree Murder and booked into the Douglas County Youth Center.
