University of Nebraska at Omaha Chancellor Jeffrey Gold, M.D., will deliver the 2020 "State of the University" address virtually on Wednesday, October 28th.
The address will be streamed beginning at 1 P.M., and a link will be released closer to the address.
The university says Gold’s remarks will include reflections on UNO’s role in Metro Omaha and engagement with the city through teaching, learning, and research for the community to achieve success and overcome challenges.
Other subjects include successes in student enrollment and retention, mission-critical achievements among each of UNO’s six academic colleges and numerous departments across campus, addressing social inequalities as a campus and as a community, and looking forward to the next year.
Remarks will also be delivered by guest speakers, including former Nebraska Senator and U.S. Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel, as well as Omaha Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Cheryl Logan.
