The county-wide burn ban in Douglas County is being lifted, but only for Monday.
Douglas County fire officials lifted the burn ban, but only for the day. According to Ponca Hills Fire Chief Joel Sacks, the ban will be re-evaluated for Tuesday and Wednesday based on weather conditions.
The ban was put in place last Monday, October 5th, due to continuing dry conditions in the area.
