Cass County man wanted for making terroristic threats arrested

A man wanted for making terroristic threats earlier this week has been arrested.

The Nebraska State Patrol says some of their investigators along with the U.S. Marshals Service Metro Fugitive Task Force arrested 65 year old Richard Carr at his home in Eagle, Nebraska Thursday morning. The NSP says the home had been the scene of a law enforcement operation Monday night. They say on Monday night, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting that Carr had made threats with a gun against a family member.

The State Patrol says the caller reported that Carr had gone to his home around 6:20 Monday night, but when investigators got to the residence around 6:30, Carr had already left. The NSP says they were able to get a search warrant to enter the home that night and found Carr’s cell phone and a handgun.

The NSP says a warrant for Carr’s arrest was issued Tuesday and determined Thursday that Carr had returned to his residence. He was arrested and lodged at the Cass County Jail on charges of making terroristic threats and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.
