(Monona County, IA) -- The Iowa State Patrol says a an Iowa boy's sharp eye and quick-thinking helped them catch a wanted suspect.
A trooper recently stopped a driver in western Iowa's Monona County, but the driver got out of the vehicle and ran. The boy saw the suspect hide under a neighbor's deck, and told his parents. Deputies were then able to quickly find the suspect, was arrested on traffic and drug charges. Troopers stopped by the boy's school recently to thank him in person. They gave him an Iowa State Patrol patch, Junior Trooper stickers and a District 4 challenge coin.
