The Nebraska State Patrol says a 29 year old Lincoln man has been arrested on child pornography charges.
The NSP says investigators with their Technical Crimes Unit along with Homeland Security Investigations arrested Trevor Hansen following an investigation into child exploitation.
The State Patrol says the investigation was launched after the Nebraska Internet Crimes Against Children task force received a cyber-tip from an internet service provider. NSP says the investigation by HSI and a subsequent residential search warrant revealed that Hansen had been trading illicit images of children using a phone messaging app.
Investigators say an arrest warrant was issued following an indictment last week by a federal grand jury. They say Monday morning, investigators with the NSP Tech Crimes Child Exploitation Team and HSI arrested Hansen in Lincoln. Hansen is facing charges of possession of child pornography and distribution of child pornography.
