The Blackstone Business Association says they are still planning on holding their Fall Farnam Fest.

Organizers say the weekend will begin with an event kick-off on Friday, October 2nd from 5-9 p.m., and will continue with a variety of spaces and activities on Saturday, October 3rd from 2-9 p.m. They say with COVID-19 precautions in mind, the outdoor block party will be expanding beyond Farnam Street and into the surrounding Blackstone neighborhood to ensure social distancing measures, while also offering limited admittance.

The event will kickoff with a Food Truck Rally and Dueling DJ event on Friday. On Saturday, visitors can shop the Marketplace, enjoy jazz in the vineyard, live music in the lot near 38th and Farnam and a pet parade.

Some COVID-19 precautions will be in place including:

  • Attendants are required to comply with the city’s mask mandate.
  • All volunteers will wear masks and gloves.
  • Limited admittance throughout the event.
  • Temperatures will be taken before entry.
  • All tables at each of the four activation sites are spaced apart by six feet.
  • The event has tripled its square footage from previous years to ensure room for social distancing.
  • Hand sanitizer from local brewery and distillery, Brickway, will be readily available at stations around the event.

A full list of precautions will be available at FarnamFest.com.
