Kearney High School Football Team Quarantined

The varsity and junior varsity football teams at Kearney High School are under quarantine.

Kearney Public Schools officials said in a statement that a football player has tested positive for COVID-19 and was unmasked at times during practice and at a junior varsity game on Monday.

The football teams and all students who ate lunch with the infected student are required to quarantine for 14 days.

Friday's varsity game at North Platte, Monday's junior varsity game against Lincoln Southeast and next Friday's varsity game against Millard West have been indefinitely postponed.
