Taste Of Fall Arrives In Metro Area

The metro area is getting an early taste of fall on Tuesday. Temperatures will fall from the 50's in to the 40's by the end of the day. First Alert Chief Meteorologist Rusty Lord says with strong north winds gusting to 40 mph we will see wind chills in the 30's at times on Tuesday.

"Combine that with on and off rain and we are in store for a chilly September day," Lord says.

He says if you don’t end up with much rain during the day, there are plenty more chances tonight, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

A widespread slow soaking of 1-3″ of rain is likely for much of the area before the rain chances wrap up late Friday. Rusty says It will be very chilly all week as well with the clouds and rain in place.
