Investigators look for the cause of the Monday evening fire at 14th and Vinton Streets.
When firefighters arrived at the scene around 7:30 p.m., they reported smoke coming from the roof line of the one story home, and they found the fire in the basement, containing it there.
Firefighters brought it under control in about 20 minutes.
No one was home at the time.
