Overnight Omaha Fire Is Ruled Accidental In Nature

Omaha Fire investigators say an electrical malfunction accidentally caused a fire late Thursday night at a duplex in southwest Omaha.

Residents on both sides of the duplex escaped, and no injuries are reported in the fire near 145th and Hascall Streets.

Firefighters reported heavy flames and smoke when they pulled up to the place around 11 p.m., and they brought the fire under control in about 30 minutes.
