Gretna residents asked to voluntarily conserve water

Gretna residents are being asked to voluntarily conserve water for the time being.

The city says one of their wells is in need of repairs. Property owners on the city’s water system are being asked to voluntarily conserve water until further notice. The city says the well will be back in service as soon as the repairs are completed, but they don't have a time frame for completion.

City leaders say water usage has been particularly high this summer, especially in August, due to the prolonged dry conditions.
