Blood drive to be held in honor of injured Lincoln Police officer

A blood drive is planned in honor of the Lincoln Police officer injured in a shooting last week.

The Omaha Police Officers Association says the drive, in honor of Mario Herrera, will be at their hall near 134th and Center on Sunday, September 13th. Herrera was shot in the line of duty while attempting to execute an arrest warrant on August 26th.
