Omaha Police Officer In The Right Place At The Right Time

An off-duty Omaha Police officer went into action Monday after a disturbance at a Hy-Vee gas station grew into a fight outside the store.

Police tell 6 News the officer, who happened to be inside the store at 51st and Center Streets, saw the disturbance and said the two men were shoving each other inside the store.

The officer stepped in while broadcasting a 9-1-1 “help an officer” radio call when both men started fighting outside.
