Four more UNL sororities under quarantine due to COVID-19

Four more University of Nebraska-Lincoln sororities are under quarantine after small clusters of COVID-19 were reported in their houses.

The University says the most recent clusters were identified within the Alpha Chi Omega, Delta Gamma, Kappa Delta & Pi Beta Phi sororities. University leaders say each sorority reported five cases each, with all four sororities going into self-quarantine before official notification of quarantine from the Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department.

In total, eight sororities and one fraternity have been placed under quarantine at UNL.

  • Aug. 31: Four small clusters of COVID-19 identified: Alpha Chi Omega, Delta Gamma, Kappa Delta & Pi Beta Phi.
  • Aug. 30: Two small clusters of COVID-19 identified: Alpha Phi sorority and Beta Theta Pi fraternity.
  • Aug. 28: Small cluster of COVID-19 identified at Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority.
  • Aug. 27: Small cluster of COVID-19 identified at Delta Delta Delta sorority.
  • Aug. 23: Small cluster of COVID-19 identified at Kappa Alpha Theta sorority.
