A woman is hospitalized with life threatening injuries after suffering a gunshot wound Sunday afternoon.
The 57-year-old was found near 76th and Woolworth Ave around 3 p.m.
Omaha Fire Department paramedics took her to nearby CUMC-Bergan Mercy Hospital in critical condition.
The victim's 60-year-old husband told police officers that he accidentally fired a gun while unpacking from a trip, injuring his wife.
The investigation continues.
