All suspects are in custody after a Lincoln Police officer was shot Wednesday afternoon.
Lincoln Police say the officer was shot while attempting to execute an arrest warrant in the area of 33rd and Vine for 17 year old Felipe Vazquez. LPD says Vazquez was wanted for 2nd degree assault in connection with the March homicide of Edward Varejcka.
Police say two people were taken in to custody following the shooting. Investigators say the officer was the only one injured in the shooting.
Lincoln Police will hold a media briefing Wednesday afternoon to provide an update and more information.
