The body of a person discovered in Gage County earlier this week is being identified as a Beatrice man reported missing.
The Gage County Attorney says the body found near the Big Blue River around 10:00 Monday morning is that of 32 year old Robert Barton. Barton had not been seen since the night of August 15th.
Barton's body was found near the north bank of the Big Blue River, just west of Riverside Park. The Gage County Sheriff's Office said a boater noticed the body in a wooded area. Investigators say Barton's body was brought to Omaha for an autopsy.
