On Monday, there will be a ceremonial signing event for LB 153, which provides military retirement pay tax relief in Nebraska.
The bill will allow military retirees to exempt 50 percent of their military retirement pay from the Nebraska state income tax.
Governor Ricketts, state senators and Nebraska Department of Veterans' Affairs Director John Hilgert are scheduled to be at the ceremony.
The signing will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the American Legion Post #52 in Kearney, though it's not open to the public because of Covid-19 concerns.
