Thousands of Douglas County residents are applying to vote by mail in the November general election, according to the County Election Commission.
To this point, the number of requests to the election office has hit six figures.
The ballots will not be mailed out until September 28th, but the deadline to request a ballot is October 23rd at 6:00 p.m.
“So far, we have received over 100,000 requests for mail-in ballots for the November election,” Douglas County Election Commissioner Brian Kruse tells 6 News.
