Severe Storms Possible In Metro Area Friday Night

It could be a stormy Friday evening across the metro area. First Alert Chief Meteorologist Rusty Lord says a broken line of storms will move in along a cold front after 6:00 pm.

"So not all of us will get a storm or even rain for that matter," Lord says. He says storms that develop will have the chance to become severe though with strong wind and large hail the main threats from the strongest storms.

He says there is a very low tornado threat this evening. Lord says the storms will bring some spotty downpours as well. The threat for storms and severe weather will wrap up around 11:00 p.m.
