An Omaha Labor Day weekend tradition is now on the long list of events that will not be happening because of Covid-19 coronavirus.
The annual "Septemberfest Salute To Labor" is being postponed.
Organizers say the cancellation of the four-day event was made with the community’s safety in mind.
The plans are for the event to be back in 2021.
Put together by Omaha area organized labor in 1977, "SeptemberFest" has offered almost a week of entertainment, educational and artistic displays, a carnival midway, and a large parade in downtown Omaha on Labor Day.
