Ricketts Signs Budget And Other Bills

Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts has signed the 2020-2021 Fiscal Year budget. The spending plan is just under $4.8 billion dollars.

Ricketts expressed appreciation for the work of the state Legislature on key budget adjustments including flood relief, local health department resources and scholarships for Nebraskans.

Ricketts also signed into the law a bill that adds two hours of annual anti-bias and implicit bias training and testing for law enforcement to combat racial profiling.

Also signed was a bill that gives property damage immunity to people who rescue a child from a locked vehicle.
