A Lincoln doctor is accused of prescribing painkillers to an accomplice and then buying back the drugs.
The Lancaster County Sheriff's Department says 54-year-old Dr. Keith Hughes prescribed more than 42-hundred painkillers to 32-year-old Colby Digilio and would then buy them back.
Both men were taken into custody on Tuesday following a lengthy investigation. Hughes was booked for possession of narcotics with intent to deliver and possession of obtaining drugs through fraud.
Digilio was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
