If you're in need of masks during the ongoing pandemic, CHI Health will give thousands of them away on Saturday.
The free masks were made for CHI Health and are constructed with Halyard fabric, which is a material typically used to wrap surgical instrument trays in a medical setting.
The masks can be washed and re-used. A hospital spokesperson says each hospital will have 3,000 masks to hand out Saturday morning from 9-11.
The giveaway locations are:
- CHI Health Creighton University Medical Center-Bergan Mercy
- CHI Health Immanuel
- CHI Health Midlands
- CHI Health Lakeside
- CHI Health Mercy Council Bluffs
Last month CHI Health handed out nearly 10,000 masks around the community. They say that large response showed the need for masks remains months into the COVID-19 pandemic.
