COVID-19 Testing Site Open Again In Omaha

A COVID-19 testing site at 50th and G streets on reopened on Sunday.

The Douglas County Health Department had to shut it down for a few days due to supply shortages. Tests will be available Monday through Thursday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

On Sunday, the county health department reported 73 new cases and no new deaths. The county’s total case number is now at more than 8,100 since the pandemic began in March.

Recoveries of county residents now total 4,794. Metro area hospitals on Sunday reported 309 medical and surgical beds available for a 78 percent occupancy rate.

The health department also reminds residents that a TestNebraska site is now open at Crossroads Mall. Registration for that location can be done at https://www.testnebraska.com/en.
