Henry Doorly Zoo brings back 'Late Nights at the Zoo'

Those 21 and over wanting to enjoy the zoo while strolling exhibits with an adult beverage, are getting the chance again as the Henry Doorly Zoo brings back their 'Late Nights at the Zoo' event.

The zoo will host their first 'Late Nights at the Zoo' of the season on Thursday, July 16th from 7:00 PM to 10:30 PM. Attendees can enjoy a drink and food truck fare as they stroll the grounds of Omaha's Zoo.

"Each ticket to Late Nights at the Zoo includes one complimentary drink ticket, access to select Zoo exhibits after-hours, and the ability to purchase cuisine from local food trucks. Additional drink tickets are available for purchase at multiple spots throughout the event area. All guests must be ages 21 and older and must bring a valid, state-issued ID to the event."

The zoo says face masks are strongly encouraged outdoors and required to enter indoor exhibits. "Face masks are available for purchase onsite if a guest does not have one to enter an indoor exhibit. Each Late Nights’ capacity is limited to 3,000 total attendees."

To guarantee admission, the Zoo recommends purchasing tickets in advance online. Advance ticket purchases offer a discounted admission price of $13 per person for Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium members and $23 per person for non-members. Admission tickets can also be purchased the day of the event at the Zoo main entrance for $18 for Zoo members and $28 for non-members.

Food trucks that will be on-site July 16th are: Anthony Piccolo's Mobile Venue, Beyond BBQ, eCreamery with Carson's Cookie Fix, La Casa Pizzaria Food Truck and Sweet Rice Thai Food.

The event will also be held on the following Thursdays: July 23 and 30, August 6, 13, and 20. To purchase tickets and find more details about Late Nights, open Zoo exhibits, please visit the Zoo’s website at OmahaZoo.com/Special-Events
