Just in time for the Fourth of July Holiday Weekend and the continuation of the summer heat, the city of Omaha today opens five outdoor swimming pools: Miller Park, Roanoke, Hitchcock, Zorinsky, and Elmwood.
Covid-19 social distance concerns had delayed the opening of the pools.
The pools will be open from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Mayor Jean Stothert posts on Facebook that all pools will be following occupancy guidelines, and the $2.00 admission charge will be donated to the "Food Bank for the Heartland."
