Victims of fatal crash at 90th and Maple identified

Two people killed in a Wednesday night crash at 90th and Maple have been identified.

Omaha Police say 58 year old Roberto Gonzalez and 56 year old Annette North, both of Omaha, were killed in the crash. Investigators say just after 9:00 Wednesday night, a southbound Dodge Nitro, driven by 38 year old Chinyere Nwuju, was speeding and ran through a red light at Maple. The Nitro then hit and sliced through an eastbound Dodge Ram, killing Gonzalez and North.

The Nitro continued south on 90th where it collided with a Jeep Renegade, which was stopped in traffic and waiting to turn west onto Maple Street.

Nwuju was taken to Bergan Mercy with serious injuries to her face. Charges are pending against her at this time. The driver of the Jeep was not injured.
