Omaha Police investigating after three people shot late Saturday night

Omaha Police are investigating after three people turned up at local hospitals with gunshot wounds Saturday night.

OPD says officers were called to the area of 24th and Burdette just before midnight following multiple reports of shots being fired. Investigators say once officers arrived on-scene, they found a large scene, but no victims.

Two victims eventually turned up at the Creighton University Medical Center-University Campus, while another victim showed up at Nebraska Medicine. Police say all the three victims, Kendra Barnes, Ray McGaugh and James Bearfield, suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is urged to contact Omaha Crime Stoppers at (402) 444-STOP, at www.omahacrimestoppers.org or on the P3 Tips mobile app.
