Omaha's iconic Woodmen Tower is changing its name.
The multi-million dollar project started this week and will take place in stages. Over the next ten weeks, crews will swap out the "Woodmen" lettering and change it to read "WoodmenLife".
The lettering has been on the building for fifty-one years. The new metal letters will appear black during the day and white at night. They will also be visible from farther away because of the new LED system.
