Hundreds March To Memorial Park For Black Lives Matter Rally

Protests continued Sunday in Omaha following the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis and James Scurlock in downtown Omaha.

Thousands of demonstrators took part in a march from 72nd and Dodge to Memorial Park Sunday afternoon where a Black Lives Matters rally was held.

Hundreds of protesters took part and called for an end to racial injustice and police brutality.

The rally ended peacefully and many of the speakers including the Scurlock's family attorney, Justin Wayne. "It is time to come together as one Omaha, with one voice, one move and make sure we not only find justice for James, but we understand change demands resilience, persistence and resistance."

Spurlock's father spoke at the rally along with a representative of the Omaha Police Department who encouraged the public to work with them and come forward with information about the death of Spurlock
