The additional COVID-19 coronavirus deaths are being reported in Douglas County on Friday.
The Douglas County Health Department says all three deaths were women over 65 years old. The deaths bring the coronavirus death toll in Douglas County up to 37. The Health Department also confirmed that total cases of COVID-19 in the county have increased to 3,919 from Thursday’s total of 3,769, an increase of 150 cases from the previous day’s report.
As of Thursday night, local hospitals in the metro area reported that 431 medical and surgical beds were available for a 71% capacity rate with 159 patients currently hospitalized with COVID-19. Of the 376 ventilators available to area hospitals, 122 were in use, including 47 for confirmed COVID-19 patients.
The health department says as of Friday, 713 county residents have recovered from COVID-19.
