Omaha Police say a death investigation is underway following a reported assault early Friday morning.
Police say just before 1:00 AM, officers were called to a home near 25th and Marcy for an assault call. Investigators say officers made contact with the individuals involved and one of the parties, 42 year old Calvin Strong Sr., was unresponsive.
Strong was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. Police say the ongoing death investigation is being conducted by the Homicide Unit.
