Deputies Enforce Directed Health Measures At Riverfront Establishment

No citations were issued, but a gathering of 300 people at Omaha's "Surfside Club" drew a visit from Douglas County Sheriff's deputies last Saturday night.

The Sheriff's office says the proprietor of the business on the Missouri River told them he was upset directed health measures were hurting his business.

6 News reports the deputies responded to the club to check on a violation of current health measures limiting the number of people who may gather in a single area.

“Upon arrival, deputies found what they believe to be about 300 people at the club, drinking at the bar, drinking outside with no food and multiple people at one table," the sheriff’s office reported.

The management decided to shut down for the night, according to a report.
