Omaha Police say a man was seriously injured by a hit and run driver early Saturday morning in Benson.
Investigators say 44 year old Anthony Harris was trying to cross NW Radial Hwy at 52nd Street just after 2:00 a.m. when he was struck by an eastbound vehicle.
Police say the vehicle did not stop and fled from the scene. They say Harris was using a crosswalk, but was crossing against the walk signal. He was transported to Nebraska Medicine with serious injuries to his pelvis and chest. He is expected to survive.
The vehicle is only described as a light colored SUV.
