Elkhorn Nursing Home Inspected After COVID-19 Deaths

An Omaha area nursing home that has seen several COVID-19 deaths has been inspected by the state.

The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services inspected the Life Care Center in Elkhorn this week and are currently reviewing their findings.

As of Wednesday, five residents of the long-term care facility have died from COVID-19 and 52 residents had tested positive for the virus. Life Care Center officials say all of the residents have now been tested for COVID-19.

They also say 26 of the 140 staff members of the facility have tested positive.
