Omaha Man Arrested In Murder Of Convicted Sex Offender

Omaha Police have arrest a man in connection with the shooting death of convicted sex offender Mattieo Condoluci.

Police confirm 43 year old James Fairbanks was booked early Tuesday morning for criminal homicide.

The arrest comes after an anonymous e-mail was sent to news media from someone claiming to have killed the man because he was a sex offender.

Police have not said is Fairbanks is the one who sent the e-mail. Condoluci was found shot to death inside a house near 43rd and Pinkney last Saturday.

According to the sex offender registry, Condoluci was convicted of sexually assaulting a child in Sarpy County in February 2007 and attempted lewd or lascivious assault upon a child in 1994 in Florida.
