The number of unemployment claims continues to grow in Nebraska as the coronavirus continues to wreak havoc on the state's economy
The U.S. Department of Labor says over 24,000 Nebraskans filed a claim last week, a sharp increase from the estimated 15-thousand-700 who filed the week before.
More than 40,000 unemployment claims have been filed in the past two weeks in Nebraska. Across the nation, a record six-point-six-million Americans filed unemployment claims last week.
