Nebraska Reports Fifth Coronavirus Death

Nebraska health officials have reported the fifth death related to the coronavirus in the state. The person was a woman in her 70's from Madison County who had underlying health conditions.

Offutt Air Force Base confirmed a service member tested positive for COVID-19. Offutt officials say the service member self-isolated at home and it was determined that they had no contact with anyone besides people living at home.

An additional COVID-19 case was reported by the Three Rivers Public Health Department Wednesday night. A woman in her 30's from Dodge County is self-isolating at home. Health officials say it is a community spread case and they are looking into who she had contact with.

Douglas County officials on Wednesday confirmed that six long-term care residents and three staff members of the Douglas County Health Center have tested positive for COVID-19.

Five residents are hospitalized and in stable condition, three are isolated at the Health Center, and one employee is hospitalized and in stable condition while the other two employees are isolated at home.
