Two Teens Arrested For String Of Omaha Robberies

Omaha Police have arrested a pair of teenagers for five business robberies that were committed during the month of March.

Investigators say around 7:30 Tuesday night officers were called to Mariscos El Culichi restaurant at 22nd and Leavenworth St for a robbery.

Employees said that two suspects came in and one of them pulled out a knife. They demanded cash and then fled on foot.

Police say a witness pointed out the last known direction of travel and several officers and robbery detectives responded to the area. The two suspects were found and arrested without incident.

In addition to the Mariscos robbery, police say further investigation revealed that they are suspects in four other robberies.

Monster Glass- 26th and Leavenworth on March 5th

El Chango- 24th and Hickory on March 11

Park Ave Grocery- 1107 Park Ave on March 25

Las Conshitas Bakery- 1344 Park Ave on March 25

The 16-year-old was booked for 5 counts Robbery and Use of a weapon to Commit a Felony. The 15-year-old was booked for 5 counts Robbery, Use of a Weapon to Commit a Felony and PWID Marijuana.
