Officials are ordering beauty service businesses in Sarpy and Cass counties to close to help stop the spread of coronavirus.
The Sarpy/Cass Health Department says the businesses are being directed to close Tuesday following a new Directed Health Measure that requires a minimum social distance of six feet between people at gatherings.
The closures include beauty and nail salons, barbershops, massage therapy offices and tattoo parlors.
"The Sarpy/Cass Health Department continues to collaborate with local and state government partners to monitor and respond to the rapidly evolving COVID-19 situation. Our collective priority is to ensure appropriate public health recommendations and requirements are in place to ensure our residents remain as healthy as possible,” the Health Department said in a statement
