DOUGLAS COUNTY, Nebraska - The Douglas County Health Department announces a second community spread of COVID-19 coronavirus.
Health Director Dr. Adi Pour says the person is man in his 40's who became ill on March 11th. He was hospitalized in ICU on March 15th and tested on March 16th. The test came back positive on March 17th.
Dr. Pour says they cannot connect a contact point as to where he contracted the virus. He had not traveled, had not been to public events and had not been grocery shopping.
There are three new travel related cases within the county. One is a female in her 60's. Two men, one in his 60's and another in his 40's also tested positive. They had traveled to Europe, Denver and New York.
