The University of Nebraska in Lincoln says it will refund the cost of room and board for students who have left their dorms.
UNL is moving to online-only classes due to the coronavirus pandemic, but students are not being required to leave their dorms. Students who decide to move out for the semester by March 24th will receive a sixty-percent pro-rated refund of room and board costs.
The school says there will be no refunds for tuition or student fees because education is continuing on a remote learning basis from March 30th until the end of the semester.
Students living on campus are being encouraged to return to their parents house or a permanent residence to increase social distancing.
