No Fans Allowed At Nebraska Boys State Basketball Tournament

LINCOLN, Nebraska - The Nebraska Boys State Basketball tournament in Lincoln will go on as scheduled but no fans will be allowed inside. That follows a recommendation made by the Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department over concerns of spreading coronavirus.

Officials say immediate family members will be allowed inside to watch the tournament.

This decision was made after a student who attended the Girls State Basketball Tournament earlier tested positive for coronavirus.

Tournament officials say the games remain on schedule and will start Thursday but they are still working out logistics.

The games were set to be played at the Pinnacle Bank Arena, the Devaney Center, Lincoln Southeast and Lincoln East High Schools.
